Madonna Lists UWS Apartment

The Upper West Side co-op Harperley Hall will soon have one less celebrity to call their own - and a big celebrity none the less. Madonna has put her 6000-square-foot duplex apartment on the market for $23.5 million. The pad is on the fifth and sixth floors (Apt. 5-6A) and offers features like a wood-burning fireplace a chef’s eat-in kitchen, high ceilings and views of Central Park presented by floor to ceiling windows.

Adam Modlin of the The Modlin Group as well as Arabella Greene Buckworth of Brown Harris Stevens are the co-exclusive brokers for the unit.

The building located at 41 Central Park West offers its residents a garage, garden, fitness room, a rooftop deck and a beautiful residents lounge.

Some of Madonna’s neighbors at the Harperley Hall will probably celebrate her official leaving. Her upstairs neighbors have accused Madonna of playing music and dancing “around so loudly that the apartment above would shake”. It was settled in a lawsuit with an unknown outcome. The board also threatened Madonna with eviction if she didn’t stop playing the wall-shaking loud music.

Due to all of the issues with the board, the lawsuit and neighbor complaints, Madonna decided to buy a townhouse at 152 East 81st Street on the Upper East Side for $32 million in 2010.
