Tribeca reigns supreme! In a new list detailing median New York City apartment prices by Zumper, Tribeca came in as most expensive with one bedrooms running $4,200 a month and two bedrooms going for $7,695.

Of course, this comes as no surprise considering the neighborhood has been seeing plenty of splashy new developments as its demographics continue to expand. Some of the additions that have had New York’s elite denizens flocking to the neighborhood include the residence at 56 Leonard Street which is being hailed as iconic. It resembles a bunch of strategically stacked homes towering skyward to an impressive 60 stories.

The complex designed by Herzog and De Meuron has not even been completed and it has already sold 80 percent of its 145 units in presales. Its state-of-the-art condos are filled with marble and high-gloss lacquer accents and start at around $3 million, while the penthouses are going for a whopping $30 million!

Tribeca is a neighborhood that has been made most famous by Hollywood veteran Robert De Niro. De Niro founded the renowned Tribeca Film Festival which brings the trendy area over 450,000 attendees annually, including numerous celebrities.

Keep in mind that the apartment prices have actually gone up in Tribeca since the previous Zumper report in May when one bedrooms were coming in at $4,180 a month and two bedrooms at $6,275. At this rate, where will the prices be by winter?
