A pre-war building sits on 300 Central Park West on the Upper West Side. The building, built in 1930, is the brainchild of Emery Roth, an American architect responsible for the creation of numerous Beaux-Arts and Art Deco buildings and hotels in the 1920s and 1930s. This specific building, however, was converted into a co-op in 1982. In 1985, it became a landmark. 2000 witnessed the complete restoration of its exterior. This is The Eldorado. With its vibrant history and colorful past, The Eldorado is certainly one of New York City’s finest architectural buildings.
