This building was constructed in 2007 to accommodate Tribeca’s green-conscious residents. The LEED-certified building has a number of energy efficient features and environmentally friendly design elements. This type of living is becoming increasingly popular in the city, and Tribeca Townhomes is Tribeca’s answer to the cause.
16 Warren Street is one of the first new constructions in New York that include solar panels on the roof. The result is an energy-conserving, heat-control system. Tribeca Townhomes does place a lot of focus on energy-efficient design, but there are still a number of contemporary luxury touches. The result is a luxurious residence that doesn’t sacrifice energy.
The gourmet kitchens are fully equipped with marble countertops and include an island. The wooden cabinetry surrounds these countertops and a number of brand-name appliances, including those by Miele and Sub-Zero, and a dishwasher. The bathrooms are equally luxurious with the uses of modern shapes and design elements. Hans Grohe, Dornbacht and Duravit are spread throughout the bathroom, from the glass shower to the fixtures.
The amenities are fairly standard. The building allows residents ample storage via a bike room and a private storage space, including a wine cellar. The rooftop deck offers views of the city and a communal space for residents. Unfortunately, the building lacks a doorman and a concierge. The location in Tribeca is also an amenity, as the area offers ample transportation opportunities, fine dining and shopping.
