The Story House is aptly named, as it was converted from a British publishing house famous for its children’s authors. In order to maintain the building’s rich history, the Story House features some fairytale elements.
To allow for naturally sunlit rooms, these apartments feature floor-to-ceiling Thermopane windows. This natural light is cast across Danish black oak wood flooring. With a remote-control-operated gas fireplace, residents are given the perfect space to sit and read the classics that were created in the same building. The kitchens feature Pietra De Bedonia stone countertops set around top-of-the line appliances. These appliances include a Viking oven, six-burner gas cook top, a wine cooler, a silent Miele dishwasher and a Bosch washer and dryer. The bathrooms are equally superior, with high-end fixtures including glass tiles, tiger beige marble, dual ceramic sinks, frameless glass showers and deep soaking tubs.
Amenities at the Story House include a concierge service, private keyed elevators, media outlets with Time Warner Cable and a number of communal spaces. An interesting aspect to living within the walls of the Story House is the building’s virtual doorman.
Located in the middle of the city, the Story House’s location could also be deemed an amenity. The Story House is in close proximity to famous Madison Square Park and a number of transit options. This transit puts the rest of the city nearby for shoppers, diners and commuters.
