Could it be possible that there's such a thing as a former first daughter real estate discount? Apparently, Chelsea Clinton and hubby Marc Mezvinsky only paid $9.2 million for a four-bedroom condo in the celeb famous Whitman building, which is $1.2 million less than its original asking price and $750,000 under the average unit price in the luxury dwelling.

The 21 East 26th Street north of Madison Square Park building, which boasts such residents as NASCAR champion Jeff Gordon, was purchased in 2011 from the Plumbers Local 1 and converted into condos by real estate developer David Mitchell. Typically the units start at $10 million, a price that even Gordon paid, and climb to $25 million for a penthouse.

The 5,000 square-foot condo was purchased by the couple through Cafema LLC using a $5 million mortgage and a $500,000 line of credit, according to reports.

Clinton, an NBC News special correspondent, and Mezvinsky, founder of his own hedge fund company, lived before in a three-bedroom apartment on Fifth Avenue that they purchased when they wed in 2010.
