Jessica Chastain Buys NYC Apartment For $1.2M

Stunning actress and Golden Globe award-winner Jessica Chastain has purchased a Greenwich Village co-op for $1.2 million. The 4-room, 2-bedroom, and 2-bathroom co-op at 250 Mercer Street was on the market for 26 weeks with an initial asking price of $1.495 million. The building was built in 1888 and converted to a co-operative in 1986 offering a bike room, garden rooftop deck and a private storage.

Jessica Chastain is known for her delightfully painful role in “The Help”, for which she received a Golden Globe and an Academy Award nomination. Jessica’s next movie called “Mama” is going to be released in 2013 where she plays the role of Annabel who is faced with the challenge of raising her young nieces that were left alone in the forest for 5 years.
