Law and Order Star Wong Shows His NYC Apartment

After four years of renovation Law & Order Star B.D. Wong is finally agreeing to show his apartment to the New York Times. Mr. Wong bought the 2,900-square foot ground floor loft with a subterranean bedroom on East 4th Street in 2005 for $1.25 million and has since renovated it with the help of architect Jack Wettling, who also helped renovate three former apartments that in which Mr. Wong has resided.

The loft is filled with collector’s pieces like 70-odd pairs of shoes corralled into 32 wire baskets, and three spit-spot closets arrayed with an armful of colored yarn in clear plastic bags. It is enough to get Hoarders to come a calling. Mr. Wong’s former partner, Mr. Jackson regardless of his impression of the apartment thinks that Mr. Wong could throw out 75 percent of all that stuff. However, most people would probably consider the loft a unique and impressive old lady house piece of art.

If you feel like living next to B.D. Wong, simply check for available apartments in Manhattan's East Village.
