Manhattans Next $95 Million Apartment

The latest member of the "$100 million apartment club" is inside the Sherry Netherland at 781 Fifth Avenue. The 7,000-square-foot, 15-room, 7-bedroom, 8-bathroom apartment occupies the entire 18th floor and is in possession of some fairly stellar views.

So, the obvious question with this nearly $100 million apartment is: Is it really worth the money? It depends. A full floor apartment at One57 above the 80th floor cost no more than $50 million and definitely has better and more unique views of the city.

According to the brokerbabble, “New York has never had such an apartment made available” one might think that the broker knows it as well. It makes it even more obvious knowing that the current owner bought the apartment for $16.5 million in 2004. NY.Curbed says that the interior, “…is a little painful on the eyes”. We would not go that far but definitely say that it’s a matter of taste.
