We reported a few months ago that Ichiro Suzuki picked up a four-bedroom apartment inside the Laurel at 400 East 67th Street for an astounding $35,000 a month. Considering the fact that he made approximately $17 million last year, 40k should be peanuts. Regardless, Ichiro has decided to move out of the great twenty-fifth-floor apartment with amazing views and hired Adam Modlin of the Modlin Group to find him a new pad.

Meanwhile, Yankee teammate Alex Rodriguez has checked out Ichiro’s Laurel apartment—it appears that Ichiro was bragging about his former luxury apartment. And Ichiro used to pay $5,000 per month more for the apartment because his rent was $40,000 a month. A-Rod would get 2,778 square feet of luxury living with six bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. The floor plan shows that the fourth bathroom is currently a library.

This palatial pad has now been on the market for three weeks and the broker is the same Adam Modlin, who’s helping Ichiro find a new place.

According to Forbes, the Laurel is a luxury condominium tower on the Upper East Side in America’s most expensive zip code. There is no amenity that the Laurel doesn’t have. A-Rod could enjoy a sauna, screening room, steam room, large fitness center, fireplaces, library, pool, and a triathlon training center, just to name a few.

A-Rod sold his five-bedroom, full-floor apartment inside the Rushmore at 80 Riverside Boulevard for $6.6 million last year and has been looking for a new place to live ever since. He’s also currently listing his 20,000 square-foot Miama Beach mansion for a proud sum of $38 million.
