Restaurateur Jeffrey Chodorow has sold his luxury Trump Tower apartment for $16.5 million, which matches the record for selling the most expensive apartment in the building.

Chodorow’s condo in the legendary and luxurious Fifth Avenue building encompasses 3,700 square feet, enjoys three bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, and a chef's kitchen, and commands breathtaking views of Central Park—plus, it is only one of two condos in the tower that features floor-to-ceiling windows.

Chodorow, known for his restaurant company China Grill Management, bought the condo back in 2004 when it was actually three separate units. He later transformed the three units into one massive condo by combining 10 adjoining rooms into seven.

The sale of Chodorow’s condo matches the sale of composer Andrew Lloyd Webber’s apartment which sold for the same price back in 2010. Apparently, Chodorow had hoped to beat Webber’s record sale, as he initially listed his abode for $18.8 million in 2011.

The 58-story Trump Tower is a staple for those looking for Upper East Side luxury due to its classic Trump high standards and all the first-class amenities at its residents’ beck and call.
