350 West Broadway has finally sold its penthouse for a strongly chopped price of $17.5 million. The building built in 2008 initially offered the apartment for $26 million. A price drop followed in 2012 to $20.65 million. The developer, Aby Rosen, had to accept a further price crunch and accepted a deal for $17.5 million. Mr. Rosen has built a reputation as a savvy deal maker with a taste for important real estate.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with the apartment, except for the fact that it hit the market right before the recession in 2008. The 5,900-square-foot condo with quite nice, 360-degree views of Soho, offers exclusive privacy considering that the building has only seven units.

The pad has nine rooms, three bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms. It also offers an additional 1,330 square feet of luxuriously detailed private rooftop space.

The penthouse was the building’s last remaining vacant unit. Four units were sold in 2012 ranging from $6.725 million to $9.266 million. Two other units were taken off the market in 2009.
