The luxury condo/hotel at 400 Fifth Avenue has a new owner. Langham Hospitality Group, a subsidiary of Great Eagle Group, has purchased the hotel portion, consisting of 214 rooms, for $229 million.

Invesco Ltd., a Texas-based investment firm, recently purchased the top 10 floors of the new luxury building, The Mercedes House, located in Midtown West with the hopes of turning into luxury rentals. The original owner, Two Trees Management Co. LLC, intended to market the top 10 floors with 162 apartments, as condos. However, recent Crain's reports indicate that the new owner aims to market these apartments as rentals.

A new record has been set! The 18 Gramercy Park full-floor penthouse will be the highest price ever paid for a NYC apartment south of 59th street, provided the apartment under contract closes. Photos of the apartment were held privately until yesterday. That's when Prudential Douglas Elliman finally posted multiple pictures showing every room of this unique apartment. First thing that grabs attention is a large portrait of fallen comrade Notorious B.I.G hanging in the living room.

Stunning actress and Golden Globe award-winner Jessica Chastain has purchased a Greenwich Village co-op for $1.2 million. The 4-room, 2-bedroom, and 2-bathroom co-op at 250 Mercer Street was on the market for 26 weeks with an initial asking price of $1.495 million. The building was built in 1888 and converted to a co-operative in 1986 offering a bike room, garden rooftop deck and a private storage.

Actor Kiefer Sutherland, known for his role in 24, Stand by Me, and many others, has sold his Greenwich Village townhouse for the hefty sum of $17.5 million. Kiefer bought the townhouse 4 years ago for only $8.2 million. Ironically, Kiefer sold the townhouse for more than twice as much as he paid in only 24 hours, probably joining the club of NYC’s fastest selling townhouses.

Rosie purchased the 3202-square-foot, 4-bedroom and 3.5-bathroom apartment for $8 million, which makes it just 1.8% over asking of $7.95 million. From the kitchen the apartment boasts nice views of the Empire State Building and also has a cozy 435-square-foot terrace facing North-West ready for enjoying terrific sunsets.

The latest member of the "$100 million apartment club" is inside the Sherry Netherland at 781 Fifth Avenue. The 7,000-square-foot, 15-room, 7-bedroom, 8-bathroom apartment occupies the entire 18th floor and is in possession of some fairly stellar views.

Fashion moguls and business partners Lawrence Stroll and Silas Chou have each signed a contract to buy a full-floor $50 million apartment inside One57, according to The Post. Both apartments are allegedly above the 80th floor and each paid 25 percent up front.
