Hollywood star couple Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy just sold their luxury condo in Soho for a whopping $5.85 Million - $140,000 less than the original asking price. The 3,861 square-foot loft proudly boasts three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and eleven-foot high ceilings.
Many units at the Trump Soho have received drastic price cuts of approx 30%. Prudential Douglas Elliman and Prodigy International, who co-exclusively market the building, declined to comment on the strong price cut today. Elliman joined Prodigy last year, as sales didn’t meet expectations for the luxury building. For instance, a one-bedroom unit cost $1.78 million ($2,406 per square foot) and now it costs $1.27 million ($1,714 per square foot).
Jared Kushner has acquired a $53 million portfolio of seven walk-up buildings, and is up to increase it to $58 million by purchasing an eighth. The walk-ups are located in Manhattan’s eternally trendy East Village, SoHo and West Village. They were purchased from Benchmark. The NY Post reports that Mr. Kushner started with buying just one walk-up, but he and the representative of Benchmark, “hit it off and decided to give him some more”. Jared Kushner may only be 31 years old, but the handsome and ultra successful businessman obviously understands how to wheel and deal.
