Renovations have been completed on the astonishing 5,200-square-foot penthouse at the historic Schwab House on the Upper West Side, and it is currently being listed for $14 million. To be honest, the new facelift is pretty marvelous, so perhaps the price for this particular penthouse isn’t so unreasonable.

The six-bedroom, seven-bathroom duplex at 11 Riverside Drive flaunts new gorgeous herringbone floors, a private elevator, staff quarters, and a generous dining room. The additional magnificent perks that complement the penthouse include a private roof deck with a gas fireplace and four terraces, which combined seem to capture the feel of a classic luxury abode while still maintaining its modernity.

The concierge-manned building, which now replaces the original mansion built in 1950 for steel tycoon Charles Schwab, consists of 17 stories and contains a whopping 644 apartments.

The four years that it’s taken to complete the renovation are well spent, but there is no word yet on who is planning to occupy this breathtaking penthouse.
